Wer profitiert von den EU-Agrarsubventionen?
This project "Who profits from agricultural subsidies" was set up to convince the German minister of Economy and the minister of Agriculture to pledge for transparency of the European agricultural subsidies. Users could send eCards with a message to both ministers.
Additional Description:
European citizens spend 100 euro’s of taxes a year to pay the European agricultural subsidies. “Transparency of agricultural subsidies, can tell a lot about biological production, workplaces, and animal protection standards.” The online-action was quite succesful. People had sent 8797 eCards to the minsters, who took over the opinion of the activists. Also the European Union agreed on making the subsidies more transparent. From 2009 on, European citizens will be informed about where their tax money goes to.
