The project offered the user participation in fixed topic forums. A simple user registration was sufficient for participation in the discussions. The aim of ‘e-Democracy’ was to involve citizens in discussions about parliamentary legislative proceedings through forum-based online communication.

Tell Parliament
The project Tell Parliament has established as its goal to obtain a differentiated view of British users’ questions and concerns and to take these into consideration in ongoing political discourse. Individual discussions take place in web forums, for which issues are prepared by parliamentary committees.

Scottish Parliament – Holyrood.tv
Scottish citizens can communicate and confer over specified topics in several public forums. Additionally, a survey is carried out on those topics. The project’s aim is to consolidate the results of discussions in the public forums and surveys and make them accessible to the political process.

Northern Ireland Youth Forum
The aim of the project is to develop an online platform for youth, through which they can be consulted on issues specifically relevant to them. Youth-specific problems are discussed in the offering’s forums. Young people can choose a position on these topics and represent their views.

Number-10.gov.uk is the official website of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. In addition to information regarding and links to the government’s work, it offers e-mail contact to the Prime Minister’s office. The message is communicated with the office through a contact form, with assurances of a response.

Department of Work and Pensions Welfare Forum
This online forum was set up to discuss some of the ideas in the Government’s consultation paper "A new deal for welfare: Empowering people for work". A variety of themes, including single parents and part-time jobs were discussed. The forum ran from April 3rd till April 20th 2006.

Communities and Local Governments Webchats
On the 18th and 25th of May 2006, two moderated webchats about smaller cities and towns took place on this website. The first webchat was with Phil Woolas, Minister for Local Government. The second with Ruth Kelly MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.

Familienstadt München
Over 300 people participated in an online discussion about Munich’s family politics. They created a varitety of improvements, which were presented to the city council. When the discussion was closed, 36 improvements of Munich’s family politics were proposed. They will be presented to the City Council.

The Diabetes Dialogue
Diabetes Dialogue is about helping to assess the state of diabetes healthcare in your area and across the UK. The dialogue itself took place at the end of 2004, but in 2005 there was another dialogue to see if progress had been made. Both dialogues were presented in an online moderated forum.
