The Bremen initiative for active citizenship created an online platform where citizens could hand in their own plans and improvement ideas for future development of the county and city of Bremen. The county parliament promised to take a look at all plans, and to try their best in accomplishing them.

Spielplatzbewertung Stadt Böblingen
The citizens - and especially the children - of Böblingen were asked to rate the city’s playgrounds in an online survey. Over 200 people (mainly children) participated and rated their nearest playgrounds. The results were used for Böblingen’s future playground plans from 2005 until 2020.

Landesraumordnungsprogramm Niedersachsen Online
The ministry of spatial planning of German county Niedersachsen invites their citizens to go online and take a position on the county’s spatial planning Directive. They can ask questions, as well as use parts of the spatial planning directive and the county map in order to create their own view.

Grünes Wiki
The “Green Wiki” has been online twice. During the first one in June 2005, Alliance ‘90/The Greens let users edit a text about their view on digital democracy. The second wiki took place in October 2006. It was a debate for registred users only. This time, the users discussed the future of the environment.

Mehrwertsteuer? Finger Weg!
This E-Mail project was set up against the implementation of an increased value added tax (V.A.T.). This action was meant to remember the ruling German social democratic party (SPD) that they campaigned against it in 2005. In spite of everything, the increased V.A.T. has become reality.

This project "Who profits from agricultural subsidies" was set up to convince the German minister of Economy and the minister of Agriculture to pledge for transparency of the European agricultural subsidies. Users could send eCards with a message to both ministers.

From the 25th of July until the 6th of October 2006, British citizens could discuss the Review of the Funding of Political Parties in the UK in an online moderated forum. The aim was to take the public's views into account before discussing the review with all political parties.

The Department for Transport Webchat
In a moderated web chat, citizens could ask MP Dr. Stephen Ladyman about road safety in the UK. The Chat took place at the 9th of November. A range of road safety topics were discussed. Members asked questions about road safety education and training, the Road Safety Act and motorcycle safety.

The Diabetes Dialogue
Diabetes Dialogue is about helping to assess the state of diabetes healthcare in your area and across the UK. The dialogue itself took place at the end of 2004, but in 2005 there was another dialogue to see if progress had been made. Both dialogues were presented in an online moderated forum.

Bürgerhaushalt Hamburg
Several thousands of people participated in an online discussion about the budget of their county: Hamburg. They created a varitety of incentives for budget amplifications, which were presented to the regional parliament. The discussion took place in April and Mai 2006 and is now closed
