In the online petition "Du gegen AIDS" (You against AIDS), UNICEF Germany asks users to sign the demands to the pharmaceutical industry and the German government to do more against HIV and AIDS. Besides just signing the petition, there's also room for a small explanation or supporting statement.

On the website "railways for everyone", ATTAC is calling all Germans to make a stand against the privatization of the national railways, the Deutsche Bahn. In an online petition, people can sign a letter, in which they claim their MP’s to vote against any form of privatisation of the German Railways.

Protestnote.de is an online platform, where registred users can create, organize, plan, and rate their online and/or offline protest. “If people would take part in the political process for only ten minutes a week, they would already have political influence” is the website's slogan.

Viewfinder has been set up by Bristol City Council to see if video can encourage more younger people to take part in local democracy by giving their views using technology that they feel comfortable with. Registred users can send in content about local issues on a monthly basis and discuss it online.

The aim of the project is to develop an online platform for youth, through which they can be consulted on issues specifically relevant to them. Youth-specific problems are discussed in the offering’s forums. Young people can choose a position on these topics and represent their views.
